Recap of the latest Sasstainable Style

Catching up on Sasstainable style!

I may have been away from the blog during my third trimester, but Sasstainable was still active across social media. Here’s a round up of all the ethical and sustainable lifestyle you may have missed (punctuated with Instagram pictures).

Feb.3, 2014: I was honoured to be a guest of Emily Harradine, Guest Services Manager at Toronto’s Novo Spa, recognized as a Green Spa location. I had a luxurious Eminence Organic Custom Facial! Eminence is a fantastic certified organic beauty and skin care brand partnered with Forests for the Future. I was happy to prop up my (swollen) feet and relax in the lovely lounge, while the incredibly attentive Novo Spa staff took care of me, serving up tea and customizing a facial just for me! I’ve been using the Eminence Sun Defence Minerals SPF 30 in shade Honey Apple as recommended by my Novo Spa aesthetician and my skin has never looked better! I’ll be buying that product again and returning for another facial in the future. Thank you again to Emily and all the staff at Novo Spa!

Feb. 14, 2014: Mr. Sasstainable earned major points when he picked out a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Toronto’s premiere florist, Ecostems for Valentine’s Day. The team at Ecostems set the standard for an environmentally friendly business and provide the most gorgeous (eco) floral arrangements I’ve ever seen, using fairly traded, local and organically grown flowers. How lush and lovely are these? Amazing!

Feb.22, 2014: I turned 30! I got loads of well wishes (thanks everyone) and these awesome cupcakes from my Mom (thanks Mom!). Dinner at Sassafraz and hair by Blo Dry Bar at Shangri-La Hotel. #30isthenew20

Mar.1, 2014: I was invited to take the BKR x Blossom water challenge with a handful of other amazing Toronto bloggers! I drank five BKRs of water everyday (and, at nine months pregnant, made twice that in trips to the bathroom!). Thank you Blossom Lounge team for including Sasstainable in such a great project. Read all about my results, as well as the other bloggers, over at the Blossom Lounge blog #BKRlovesyou #Blossomlounge

Mar.7, 2014: Six days later, I had baby Charlotte! We are so happy to welcome her to the world and celebrate our first Easter together this weekend. Whatever you’re celebrating, I want to wish you and your family a wonderful weekend and Happy Spring!
