Spotlight: H Project at Holt Renfrew

Back in the Spring, Holt Renfrew launched H Project – a unique ‘in-store shop of extraordinary products with extraordinary stories’.

While Holt’s is renowned for curating the world’s best luxury accessories, beauty and fashion, H Project offers more than 30 exclusive designer collaborations with a difference. The offering highlights culture, craft, and artisans from around the world, with an assortment of apparel, accessories, home décor items and beauty products, including some with an element of sustainability or a charitable component. I missed it when it launched in May, so I’m catching up and thought you might want a sneak peek. Here are my top picks from the H Project and a few snaps from the Bloor Street location.

10% of the proceeds from the Guardian Tusk Collection by Canadian-born designer, Jenny Bird will be donated to World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Canada’s largest international conservation organization

Limited edition clutches from designer Lizzie Fortunato, featuring antique Peruvian handmade textiles. No two clutches are identical, representing the unique Peruvian craftsmanship.

Acca Kappa products are made with the finest natural ingredients while always keeping the highest respect for the environment.

H Project is led by Alexandra Weston, Holt Renfrew’s Director of Brand Strategy. “We are thrilled to partner with exciting international designers – some well-known and others just making their mark,” noted Alexandra Weston. “H Project offers a stage to help tell their unique and compelling stories.” The first full concept H Project shop will open at Holt Renfrew’s Yorkdale location in fall 2013. I’ll be visiting soon! – Angela
