High quality, stylish apparel produced using 100% recycled and re-purposed materials.

Ungalli Clothing Co. is a Canadian apparel brand designed and produced with 100% sustainable, recycled materials, right here in North America, by two Canadian young women with a passion for our natural environment. When marketing maven Erica Leibner reached out to me asking if  I’d feature the brand at Sasstainable, I jumped at the chance to return to my blog and receive their high-quality clothing for review. This is a brand I believe in. Every piece in their casual wear collection is made ethically, under fair conditions in North America, and a portion of profits from each item are donated to an incredible charity, such as the Nature Conservancy of Canada. When you buy Ungalli, you join a movement. You help reduce the amount of plastic in landfill, support an altruistic Canadian small business and give to environmental and wildlife conservation charities. Keep reading for your exclusive discount code, and enter for your chance to win an Ungalli t-shirt of your choice!

We all need comfortable, high quality apparel in our style story, like this perfect Ungalli long sleeve white tee. I could live in this shirt, wearing it for everything from yoga classes to leisurely brunch dates, layering it with blazers, button downs, and sweaters, or the lightweight grey zip hoodie pictured above. It’s a style staple. What makes it really unique? “The blending of recycled polyester and cotton creates a light material that is stronger and more durable than traditional cotton clothing, meaning this is your new go to shirt for years to come”. Due to their unique warm water wash production process,  the Ungalli collection is soft from the first moment you wear it. Cut for an easy fit and casual comfort, the Ungalli collection of men and women’s t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeve tees and beanies reflect our desire for relaxed, sustainable style.

Give a dam. Seek nothing but shelter from the great human race. And give back.

With unique graphics, and a few cheeky messages, the water-based prints on Ungalli tees and hoodies highlight important conservation and wildlife causes. They work with charities and design specific shirts to raise much needed funds.  The hoodie pictured above supports animals like Charlie the beaver, who was rescued and is being raised by Hope for Wildlife until he is old enough to be released back to his natural habitat. Although beavers are considered a national iconic animal, and they “…create wetlands that provide the habitat for over half of our endangered species…when their building plans do not correspond with ours, they are trapped and relocated.” This can leave baby animals behind. So, Give A Dam and buy this hoodie, and one dollar will be donated to Hope for Wildlife to protect animals at risk. Similarly, with every purchase of this graphic print v-neck t-shirt, one dollar is donated to the Nature Conservancy of Canada to help protect an natural area of plants, animals and insect species called the Garry Oak Ecosystem. “Humans have put the Garry Oak Ecosystem in critical danger of extinction through land conversion for agricultural, residential, and industrial development.” When we buy Ungalli, we help the mighty Oak remain mighty for future generations, preserving the natural places and species we revere in Canada.

Ungalli clothing is designed and produced locally, sustainably and fairly.

Founders Hailey and Bree grew up on a farm in Northern Ontario surrounded by horses, hayfields and the scenic Kaministiquia River. The special compassion they feel for animals and the planet was passed on to them from their mother, their grandmother and their great grandparents – an intergenerational respect for nature I, and a great many Canadians, relate to so well. They created Ungalli as a vehicle through which to change the way people think about their clothing. They want to counteract the negative impact the clothing industry has on people and the planet, and “be the change they wish to see in the world.”

All Ungalli clothing is made from 100% recycled materials and is ethically produced in North America. Buying just one Ungalli t-shirt, instead of a conventionally produced shirt, saves 712 gallons of water, half a gallon of petroleum, reduces the output of 12 kilograms of carbon dioxide and 3 oz of chemicals. Recycled materials include:

  • recycled plastic bottles
  • reused cotton
  • recycled black food trays
  • recycled plastic beer bottles/root beer bottles
  • recycled x – ray film
Production of Ungalli tees is completed within a 320KM radius in North America, to minimize environmental impacts and reduce or eliminate water, petroleum, chemical and C02 waste. That’s super chic.
